Trumpeter Teus Nobel, Edison Prize winner and a fixture in the Dutch jazz scene, released the album After Hours in 2023 - a tribute to Chet Baker, recorded with his Acoustic Trio. This autumn brings the quartet album Child's Play, inspired by his children Bix and Charlie, who helped the family through a difficult period.

The album comes out in September, along with a documentary about that same time. Nobel drew musical inspiration from his children's play: free, unpredictable and full of imagination. That energy comes through in the compositions, which leave plenty of room for spontaneity and 'controlled chaos'.

Nobel performs with guitarist Teis Semey, bassist Jasper Høiby and drummer Niek de Bruijn.

Jasper Høiby is a Danish bassist and composer, best known as a co-founder of the acclaimed jazz trio Phronesis. His 3Elements project pairs him with a different pianist and drummer on each album, with a strong focus on dynamics and interplay. His recordings are released on the British jazz label Edition Records.
