De Baron

De Baron combines polder punk, Balkan brass and Sahara sounds into an eclectic live programme that travels from west to east. Anarchism runs deep, but the energy is just as present: pounding sounds and enchanting melodies alternate, from sailors' humour to direct attacks on consumerism.

Following the albums Benbiri and Bejjebang - featuring songs like 'Aap', 'Zee' and 'Cowboy' - they released their third album BaalBek this year. It blends self-mockery, rage and hope in a mix of Sahara rock, traditional song and punk.
