About
De Baron is an eight-piece band from Utrecht that fuses Sahara rock, Balkan beat and Dutch levenslied into what they call 'guerrilla brass'. Sharp, socially critical lyrics and relentless live energy have earned them a loyal following at festivals including Oerol, Zwarte Cross and the Bevrijdingsfestivals. Their third album BAALBEK, produced by Dries Bijlsma, came out in March 2026.
