Lost & Found - Studio Vavoom

A man arrives at a storage facility for lost items. He has lost his suitcase - a large, fine suitcase that was just right, just him. Now that it's gone, he feels a little lost himself. That raises questions: what remains of yourself when you lose the things that make you you? And could another suitcase - that red one, or that purple one with stickers - ever become yours?

Lost & Found is a physical performance for children from age 4, combining dance, mime and acrobatics. A man who has lost his suitcase and a customs officer who has lost a man: together they move through a surreal suitcase landscape where objects grow larger, clothes shrink, shadows get lost and suitcase handles become climbing poles. Playful and poetic, the performance also poses bigger questions - about memories, about coming home, and about what happens when you meet someone who looks very much like you.

After the show, juice and popcorn are included.

Creator Freek Nieuwdorp won the Silver Cricket in 2024 for his debut performance Milky Way and was nominated for a Young Swan. Lost & Found is a co-production by Vavoom and the Verkadefabriek, made possible in part by the Fonds Podiumkunsten (FPK).
