Perfect Girl - Mevrouw Ogterop
Cultuurpodium Groene Engel, Oss
Perfect Girl is a theatrical piece in the form of a therapy session, written by Jibbe Willems and performed by Mevrouw Ogterop.
The play explores the gap between who people truly are and the image they project to the world. We follow Anna during a coaching session, where it becomes clear how much effort it takes her to live up to her own ideal image. She has always maintained the appearance of a perfect, successful life on all fronts - but when she tries to tell her real story, fear of others' judgment holds her back. That outside world exists, as it does for everyone, mostly in her own mind. What begins as a therapy session develops into a psychological thriller with surprising plot twists.
Following the success of I'd Rather Be Called Angel (2023), the company creates another production about identity. The Dagblad van het Noorden gave Perfect Girl five stars: "Sublime (...) Mevrouw Ogterop brilliantly dismantles the false happiness of two phenomena: the influencer and the life coach."
Groene Engel also offers an Unlimited Theatre Subscription, which allows you to attend all 18 theatre performances for adults in the 2026-27 season.
