Benefit Evening for Stichting Straatdokters Groep

An estimated 33,000 people live on the streets in the Netherlands. This group is diverse: homeless due to divorce or job loss, young and old, with or without medical, psychiatric or addiction issues. Many avoid care or are difficult to reach due to their situation. Bureaucracy and complex funding make that care no easier.

Street doctors are healthcare providers - nurses, doctors and other care experts - who specialize in social-medical care for homeless and houseless people. They actively go out: to the streets, day and night shelters, parks, churches and other places where their target group is found.

Three bands take the stage this evening to draw attention to their work:

Doors open from 19:30. All proceeds go to Stichting Straatdokters Groep.
