Culemborg Beer Festival
De Gelderlandfabriek, Culemborg
The very first Culemborg Beer Festival takes place at De Gelderlandfabriek. Entry costs € 10 and includes two drinks; children enter free.
You can taste craft beers from four breweries. Restaurant Una Volta provides snacks, and those who prefer not to drink beer can order soft drinks at the Wissel bar. DJ Miss Twist spins vinyl records from the 1950s through the 1990s from 15:00 to 20:00.
The participating breweries:
Brouwerij Vrijstad brews accessible craft beers without pretension, each with its own identity - driven by three friends with a passion for beer, campfires and loud guitars.
Brouwerij Hemursbier is a small-scale, artisanal brewery from Amerongen, founded in 2015 by Frits Beelen and Jan Schut. The name refers to Hemur, the old name of Amerongen, meaning "river" or "flowing water". The water from Amerongen plays a central role in the flavour of the beers, which are brewed exclusively with natural ingredients: water, malt, hops, yeast and sugar.
Betuws Bier sources its ingredients from the fertile clay between the rivers of the Betuwe and brews sustainably with high-quality natural raw materials.
De Heeren van Bisde are Jaap and Ronald from Beesd, who started as hobby brewers and grew into makers of characterful craft beers. Their range runs from the crisp Bisde Blond and the full-bodied Bisde Tripel to the powerful Bisde Quadrupel.
