MØSTER!

Presented in collaboration with TivoliVredenburg.

MØSTER! is a Norwegian instrumental quartet composed of established names in the experimental rock and jazz scene. The frontman is saxophonist Kjetil Møster, who broke through in 2000 after a performance with Chick Corea and has since released over 100 albums. The other band members are guitarist Hans Magnus Ryan (Motorpsycho), bassist Nikolai Hængsle (Elephant9), and drummer Kenneth Kapstad (formerly Motorpsycho, now Spidergawd).

Between 2013 and 2020, the band released five albums on the Norwegian label Hubro, which were well received by critics and audiences. MØSTER! has performed at major European festivals including Øya Festival and the Molde International Jazz Festival. Their music draws from 1970s jazz and rock experiments, with influences from Fela Kuti, Black Sabbath, and John Coltrane.
