In the summer of 1991, Ab Sligter and his wife Ineke opened De Amer: a "social-cultural and rustic inn", as Ab described it himself. After just a few months, the first concert took place in the taproom. Thirty-five years later, this authentic farmhouse in the hamlet of Amen has grown into an established name in the international music world and the Dutch literary scene - with a reputation that has long extended beyond the country's borders.

The jubilee is celebrated over the weekend of 17-20 September, with an extensive programme bringing together all the activities that have made De Amer special over those 35 years. Sunday 20 September is the main celebration day, with the festival grounds in the garden as the focal point.

In the garden, Sean Webster, Stef Paglia, Sunken Lands, Sem Jansen & Leif de Leeuw and Hiigo perform. Four listening concerts take place in the barn: Ralph de Jongh, Douwe Bob (sold out), Blackbird and Spinvis. The front terrace hosts Zummer op Zien Zundags, with NIK, Christy Boer, Lisa Ploeger and Joost Dijkema - free entry. Guided nature walks with acoustic concerts depart from the café at 12:00 and 15:00: the first with Stephanie Struijk, the second with Douwe Bob (sold out). There is also a singing workshop and a silent disco.

A day ticket gives access to the festival grounds all day. After purchase you receive an email with links to reserve tickets for individual activities. Additional tickets are required for the concerts in the barn, the walks and the workshop (the pink activities in the schedule). The schedule is kept up to date so you can see which activities have no tickets left.
