Vundabar
American indie rock band Vundabar performs in Amsterdam.
Vundabar is an American indie rock trio from Boston, formed around 2012 by singer/guitarist Brandon Hagen and drummer Drew McDonald, later joined by bassist Zack Abramo. The band built its reputation on raw, lo-fi post-punk and broke through to a wider audience with the viral track 'Alien Blues'. Six studio albums - from Gawk (2015) to Surgery and Pleasure (2025), released via Loma Vista Recordings - chart a decade of restless stylistic evolution.
Vundabar released Surgery and Pleasure (Deluxe) on March 6, 2026, an expanded version of their sixth album with five additional singles.
The band went on tour through the US and Canada in May 2026 for the Gawk 10 Year Anniversary Tour, where the album Gawk was played in its entirety.
In September 2026, Vundabar performs together with Yot Club in Germany, with shows in Cologne, Hamburg, Munich and Berlin.
On March 7, 2025, the sixth studio album Surgery and Pleasure was released via Loma Vista Recordings, preceded by singles such as 'I Got Cracked', 'Life Is a Movie' and 'Spades'.
In the fall of 2024, Vundabar toured through North America to announce the new album.
