About

Bass Drum of Death is an American garage-punk band from Oxford, Mississippi, founded by John Barrett, who started the project in 2007 as a one-man operation. Known for a raw, fuzz-heavy guitar sound and high-energy live shows, the band built a devoted following with albums such as 'GB City' (2011) and 'Say I Won't' (2023), produced by Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney. Their sixth studio album, 'Six', was released in September 2025, recorded in Nashville with producer Jeremy Ferguson.
