This Beautiful Mess is a Dutch indie rock quintet from Vlissingen, Zeeland, formed in 1997. Their 2001 debut 'Falling On Deaf Ears' - released via Sally Forth Records/Sony Music in the Benelux and Deep Elm Records in the US, Canada and Japan - put them on the international map, with single 'Clean' earning airplay on 3FM and Kink FM and festival slots at Lowlands and Eurosonic. After a lengthy hiatus, the band returned in 2021 with the EP 'Second Mountain Songs' and released their fifth album 'the Soft Powers' in May 2024. Their sound blends shoegaze, post-rock and melancholic indie with layered guitars and cinematic arrangements.

This Beautiful Mess releases the debut album 'Falling On Deaf Ears' on vinyl for the first time on the occasion of the 25th anniversary, remastered and featuring special artwork.

The band performs at the Sally Family Festival in dB's Utrecht (17 October) together with Cape Sleep, Ponoka and Mensenkinderen, combining old and new work.

In January 2025, the band announced an intimate album concert for 9 March 2025, accompanied by the HTTACP choir which is also featured on the new album.
