About

The Toasters are an American ska band founded in 1981 by British guitarist and frontman Robert "Bucket" Hingley on New York's Lower East Side. Widely credited as one of the originators of third-wave ska in the United States, the band also shaped the genre's infrastructure through Hingley's Moon Ska Records label - the most influential ska imprint of the 1990s. Nine studio albums and more than 6,500 live shows later, The Toasters remain the longest-running US ska outfit, with Hingley as the sole constant member.
