About
The Skints are a London four-piece who blend reggae, ska-punk, dub, dancehall and hip-hop into a sound they call 'tropical punk'. Founded in 2007 by school friends from the Waltham Forest and Redbridge boroughs of northeast London, they built their following out of the city's squat-party scene before signing to Easy Star Records. Their 2015 album FM reached number five on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart; the follow-up Swimming Lessons (2019) debuted at number one. Clash Magazine has called them 'the torchbearers for modern British reggae music'.
