Sara Correia
Sara Correia, one of today's leading fado singers, performs in Middelburg. The Portuguese artist won the prestigious Grande Noite do Fado competition at age thirteen and has since released three acclaimed albums.
Sara Correia (Lisbon, 1993) is a Portuguese fado singer who won the Grande Noite do Fado at thirteen and honed her craft at the legendary Casa de Linhares alongside fado greats Celeste Rodrigues and Jorge Fernando. Her four albums on Universal Music Portugal - Sara Correia (2018), Do Coração (2020), Liberdade (2023) and Tempestade (2026) - plus a Latin Grammy nomination have established her as one of the leading voices in contemporary fado. Her warm alto-contralto bridges the genre's dark tradition with a modern sensibility, drawing audiences well beyond Portugal. Since 2023 she has also served as a coach on The Voice Portugal.
Sara Correia made her debut on 7 March 2026 at the MEO Arena in Lisbon with a sold-out concert presenting her fourth album Tempestade - the biggest performance of her career so far.
On 27 February 2026, Sara Correia released her fourth studio album Tempestade, featuring eleven songs written entirely by women.
The collaboration 'Respirar' with the duo Calema achieved platinum certification and accumulated millions of streams.
In July 2025, it was announced that Sara Correia returns as coach for her third season of The Voice Portugal.
Sara Correia performs as headliner of the La Linea Festival 2026 at the Barbican Hall in London - her biggest British show so far.
