Rudy Lentze is a musician born in Indonesia who grew up in the Netherlands. The son of an Indo father with German roots and a Sundanese mother, he found his footing through music after a turbulent youth shaped by migration and cultural collision. The documentary Boy from the Dessa traces his life against seventy years of pop music and the legacy of the Dutch East Indies.
