Marcel Riesco is a Nashville-based singer, guitarist and songwriter originally from Montevideo, Uruguay, who has been a fixture on the international rock 'n' roll and rockabilly circuit for years. His voice draws frequent comparisons to a young Roy Orbison - an influence he traces to learning to sing through Orbison's records. Beyond performing, he is a recognised Orbison authority: he researched and curated The Authorized Roy Orbison (2017), the only official biography, compiled by Orbison's sons. His live résumé includes the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Master Series Tribute Week and the Roy Orbison Festival in Wink, Texas.
Riesco performs on October 4, 2026 at Boppin the Rock in Utrecht, together with Ray Allen.
His fourth studio album Wild Kisses, released on Sleazy Records, is now available everywhere.
The album Patiently was released on Bear Family Records, recorded in Jack Clement's Cowboy Arms Studio in Nashville.
