James Blake (born 1988 in London) is a British singer-songwriter and producer whose music fuses electronic production, soul and post-dubstep into a distinctly personal sound. His self-titled 2011 debut brought him critical acclaim, and his 2013 album 'Overgrown' won the Mercury Prize. Beyond his solo work he is a sought-after collaborator, contributing to records by Beyoncé, Frank Ocean, Kendrick Lamar and ROSALÍA, and he won a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album in 2024 for 'Playing Robots Into Heaven'.
