Coen Verbraak hosts a public talk with writer Anna Enquist, former politician Hedy d'Ancona, and cabaret performer Hans Dorrestijn discussing how to age gracefully.
Hedy d'Ancona (born 1 October 1937 in The Hague) is a Dutch sociologist, feminist and retired Labour Party (PvdA) politician. She co-founded the feminist action group Man-Vrouw-Maatschappij and the monthly magazine Opzij, served as State Secretary for Emancipation and later as Minister of Welfare, Health and Culture (1989-1994), and sat in the European Parliament for two terms. Since leaving office she has continued as an author, public speaker and political commentator.
D'Ancona gave a lecture titled 'Feminism Then and Now' on 8 March 2026 (International Women's Day) in Almere-Haven, in which she connected the history of the women's movement with current actions against femicide.
D'Ancona was a guest in December 2025 in the television programme Boerderij van Dorst, presented by Raven van Dorst.
D'Ancona was listed as a list-pusher at position 80 on the candidate list of GroenLinks-PvdA for the Second Chamber elections of October 2025.
In January 2025, a reissue of her autobiography The Personal is Political appeared, provided with a new foreword.
At the European Parliament elections of June 2024, d'Ancona as a list-pusher for GroenLinks-PvdA received more than 20,000 preference votes, but she declined the seat.
