Escalpo + Kezus Krijst
Escalpo and Kezus Krijst bring an evening of metal-punk and political punk to Musicon. Brazilian band Escalpo combines death metal with punk, while Rotterdam's Kezus Krijst plays uncompromising concrete punk.
Escalpo is a metalpunk band from Rio Claro, São Paulo, Brazil, founded in 2020 by veterans of the South American underground scene. They blend d-beat, death metal and punk into a raw, uncompromising sound, with Portuguese-language lyrics addressing social injustice and political resistance. Their debut album 'Unnus' appeared in 2023 on the German label Thrash Out Records, and the band has since toured Europe regularly.
Escalpo is looking for a performance in the Netherlands or Germany on November 1, 2026, as the final show of their European autumn tour.
Debut album 'Unnus' was released on October 3, 2023 via the German label Thrash Out Records, with ten tracks recorded at Casarão Music Studios in Piracicaba, Brazil.
Music blog Thoughts Words Action reviewed 'Unnus' and called the album an authentic metalpunk release with influences from Anti Cimex, Discharge, Venom and Motörhead.
Debut EP 'Retrocedendo' was released on November 20, 2020 and was reviewed by IDIOTEQ as a raw first step of a promising new band.
