Brothers Moving
Brothers Moving performs improvisation and musical collaboration at Jazzpodium BIRD.
Brothers Moving is a Danish band that started as street musicians in New York City in 2008, founded by brothers Esben, Aske and Simon Knoblauch alongside bassist Nils Sørensen, all originally from Djursland, Denmark. They blend blues, folk, funk, reggae and rock 'n' roll, singing in both English and Danish. Global recognition came in 2012 when a phone-filmed street performance of Cab Calloway's 'Minnie the Moocher' at Union Square went viral, racking up over 25 million views. From that moment on they grew from a busking act into a touring band playing venues and festivals worldwide.
Brothers Moving performs at Vondelpark Openluchttheater in Amsterdam (16 August 2026) and at Zomerterras in Vlaardingen (14 August 2026).
The band plays a series of European club shows in October 2026, including BIRD in Rotterdam (10 October), Nochtspeicher in Hamburg (9 October) and Privatclub in Berlin (12 October).
Brothers Moving released the EP 'Strummin'' on 12 January 2024, the final part of a three-part EP trilogy.
