Momoko Gill

On Friday 20 November, BIRD welcomes London-based artist Momoko Gill for a live show that blends jazz, electronics, spoken word, improvisation and soul.

Gill moves between the underground jazz scene of South London and the electronic world of artists like Matthew Herbert, Tirzah, Coby Sey and Alabaster DePlume. As a drummer, producer, composer and vocalist, she creates shows that are raw and emotional, deliberately straddling genres. With her Herbert & Momoko project, she has previously performed at Dekmantel, Rewire, Sónar and at Bimhuis in Amsterdam.

At BIRD she presents her own work in the intimate setting of Rotterdam's jazz venue.
