Bokkeryers
Bokkeryers takes the stage at Merleyn in Nijmegen.
Bokkeryers is a Limburg metal band formed by Pablo van de Poel (guitarist of DeWolff), his younger brother Vince on drums, and vocalist Jordan Faber. The band takes its name and lyrical content from the notorious 18th-century South Limburg outlaw gangs known as the Bokkenrijders, with all texts written in the Limburgish dialect. Musically the trio plays doom, sludge and thrash - a sharp departure from DeWolff's blues-rock sound.
Debut album 'Volksleed' will be released on 11 September 2026 via Electrosaurus Records, on CD and LP (gatefold).
For the live shows, the line-up will be expanded with Gerben Bieldermann (Iron Djinn / PAUW) on bass and Daniël Michels (Seeds of Despair) on second guitar.
Bokkeryers will make their live debut on 6 June 2026 at the Kaderock festival in Den Haag.
The band announces a club tour through Dutch venues in autumn 2026, with shows in Maastricht, Nijmegen, Utrecht and Tilburg.
Pablo van de Poel confirms that the song lyrics are partly based on Bernard Bekmans' book 'Kapitein der Bokkenrijders'.
