BOKKERYERS

Brothers Pablo & Vince van de Poel and their friend Jordan Faber founded BOKKERYERS - a metal band inspired by an 18th-century South Limburgian gang that rode flying goats through the night. Broken on the wheel, hanged, quartered: they all met bloody ends. That's metal.

The band saw it as their Limburgian duty to give those dark stories the riffs, rhythms and textual extravagance they deserve. The result is a blend of doom, sludge and thrash metal with Limburgian-language lyrics, a punk attitude, a healthy dose of humour and fake blood. Plus a collaboration with Limburgian carnival queen Beppie Kraft. No joke.

Their debut album VOLKSLEED comes out on 10 September on Electrosaurus Records. To celebrate, the Bokkeryers are playing a series of live shows, joined by Gerben Bielderman (Iron Jinn) on bass and Daniël Michels (Seeds of Despair) on second guitar.
