Blockhead is the stage name of Tony Simon (New York, 1976), a producer and DJ who has spent over two decades carving out a distinctive niche in instrumental hip-hop. He first gained recognition producing for Aesop Rock, then built a solo catalog on Ninja Tune with records like 'Music by Cavelight' (2004) and 'The Music Scene' (2009). His discography now spans more than fifteen albums, including collaborations with rappers such as Billy Woods and Cage.
Blockhead released the album 'The Long Way' together with Eliot Lipp as the duo Lipphead via Def Pressé - their third joint full-length.
