Bonobo
Bonobo brings electronic music, refined synthpop and ambient soundscapes to Natlab.
Bonobo is the project of British musician, producer and DJ Simon Green, who grew up in Hampshire and is now based in Los Angeles. His sound moves between downtempo, jazz and electronic music, with a warm, organic quality that works equally well on the dancefloor and at home. Albums including Black Sands (2010) and Migration (2017) built him a large international following; both Migration and Fragments (2022) reached the UK top five. He has received multiple Grammy and BRIT nominations and performed at venues ranging from Coachella and Glastonbury to a five-night residency at the Royal Albert Hall.
Bonobo announced his eighth album Distance in Static, which will be released on September 11, 2026 via Ninja Tune, featuring collaborations with Arooj Aftab, Nilüfer Yanya and Joy Crookes, among others.
In support of the new album, Bonobo will tour North America in November and December 2026 with a brand new live show, designed by set designer Pierre Claude.
The first single from Distance in Static, 'Me and You', was released as a preview of the album.
Bonobo released his first film music: a complete soundtrack for the Adult Swim anime series Lazarus by director Shinichirō Watanabe, released on April 11, 2025 via Milan Records.
The album Fragments (2022) was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 65th Grammy Awards.
