Bas Kwakman is a Dutch writer and poet, best known as the long-time director of Poetry International in Rotterdam. He started out as a poet and later moved into prose. His historical novel *Willem Spark, fantoomcomponist* weaves between fact and fiction around an enigmatic composer.
