About: Stut Theater

Since 1977, Stut Theater has been putting Utrecht residents with no acting background on stage, letting them perform their own stories on themes such as youth welfare, informal care and migration. Productions are multidisciplinary - weaving together text, music, dance and visual art - and play everywhere from neighbourhood centres to the main city theatre.

The new production 'The Things We Carry', about youth care from the perspective of young people, parents and professionals, premiered on 13 and 14 June 2026 at ZIMIHC theater Stefanus in Utrecht.

'The Things We Carry' was created in collaboration with Stichting ZO-Jeugdzorg and made possible in part by the Municipality of Utrecht and the Fund for Cultural Participation.
