Feel at Home! Writing Workshops
Stadsklooster Utrecht, Utrecht
In this renewed series of writing workshops, you explore from different angles what it means for you to feel at home somewhere. What do you think of when you hear the word 'home'? Is your house your castle, or do you feel at home in multiple places? When do you feel at home with yourself? And does such a thing as an ideal place exist?
The series consists of five sessions on Wednesdays: 18 November (A good nest), 25 November (At home everywhere), 2 December (My home here and now), 9 December (Feeling at home with yourself), and 16 December (An ideal place). The workshops are led by Brenda van Dam (Bureau voor levenslinguïstiek) and Marion Lommers (Stadsklooster).
Feeling at home is a basic need for most people, but what is required for it differs from person to person. What home places have in common is familiarity, safety, and the space to be yourself. Writing pleasure and a safe atmosphere to share stories are central - everyone can participate.
The group has a minimum of 5 and maximum of 8 participants. Coffee, tea, and writing materials are included. Does the price present a barrier? Then contact info@stadskloosterutrecht.nl.
