Trainspotting: 30th Anniversary

Trainspotting turns 30, and the occasion calls for a brand-new 4K restoration. At last you can see in crystal clarity what Spud actually ate, and everything that happened in what may well be the filthiest toilet in cinema history.

Danny Boyle's film hit like a bomb in 1996. With its breakneck editing, dark humour, unfiltered look at British life in the 1990s, and a soundtrack that set the tone for an entire generation, Trainspotting not only put Boyle on the map but gave British cinema a powerful push forward. Its influence remained felt for years, including in the films Guy Ritchie broke through with shortly after.
