Maarten Heijmans & Cor Bakker

Pianist Cor Bakker and actor-singer Maarten Heijmans met during the book presentation of all Ramses Shaffy songs - and it was less coincidental than it seemed, for both share a deep love of his repertoire. Maarten portrayed Ramses Shaffy in the television series Ramses; Cor Bakker accompanied the real Ramses several times and holds vivid memories of those encounters.

This performance features well-known Shaffy songs alongside lesser-heard gems, complemented by works by Maarten van Roozendaal and Jacques Brel. Piano and voice carry the evening, with room for both humour and emotion.
