Stuurbaard Bakkebaard resists easy categorization. Experimental rock, neo-psych, fuzz, angular drums and distorted vocals combine into a sound unlike anything else.

The trio has existed since 1996 and released five albums, playing hundreds of shows across the Netherlands, Europe and South Africa. After Boys Do Cry, things went quiet, but behind the scenes they continued making music for film and television - until something new began to emerge: material written to be played live.

SBBB doesn't call this a reunion or comeback, but a new chapter. Their sixth album came out on 20 March 2026 on vinyl and showcases the band sounding rawer and more angular than ever - abrasive, intense and strangely danceable.
