The world of 2026 races forward like an endless DJ set, driven by (f)influencers, career gurus and productivity hustlers. In Hedda Gabber, Daniëlle Deddens resurrects Ibsen's famous character and places her opposite a Gen-Z'er for whom boredom seems simply impossible. Together with musician/producer Wijnand Gomes, she explores what stillness means in the neoliberal now: is humanity still capable of boredom, and how do you find rest in a world on fire?

Hedda Gabber is a club night on crack - a rave that moves from hyperpop kitsch to sultry ballads, from Ibsen quotes to TikTok speak. Daniëlle Deddens plays, sings and moves herself through a fluid theatrical world, with Gen Z anxiety and a deep-rooted belief that it will all work out.
