Chris Verlaan - Ach, Er Komen Geen Kindjes Van

When things go wrong, Chris Verlaan falls back on his mother's wisdom: "Ach, er komen geen kindjes van" ("Well, no children will come of it"). It's his life philosophy - but secretly he has other plans. He wrestles with pleasure through an uncertain, single existence, and would still like to pass something of himself on to the next generation.

That's easier said than done when even looking at a woman is already a challenge. Loneliness is a faithful companion that feeds his fantasies, fears and longing for connection. Meanwhile, he wonders: when do you really belong? With self-mockery and discomfort, he shares his life lessons.
