Margriet van der Linden - Annie, Are You Ok? (try-out)

Annie is the American CPR dummy who has endlessly survived heart attacks, overcome drownings, and undergone mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. But how is she really doing?

Using that question as a starting point, Margriet van der Linden takes the audience through a woman's life - her own. From a girl in an orthodox Christian family who took self-defence classes at school, to editor-in-chief of Opzij and 'the first lesbian talk show host'. The same question keeps returning: has she gotten ANYWHERE in a world that reverts to old machinery? The rhetoric around men and women brings Margriet's deepest fears and recognition to the surface - and a confrontation between past and present, ideals and reality. With of course the father, the minister, and the holy Trump. Amen.

Margriet van der Linden is a programme maker, writer and presenter. She had her own talk show M and created the documentary series State of Hate (2024) and How To Be Gay (2018). She was also the Mole in Wie is de Mol? (2015), made the radio programme Ramarmar with Martine Sandifort, and wrote among other things the novel De liefde niet. In 2024 she won the Sonja Barend Award for best interview, with Liesbeth Zegveld in Zomergasten - a programme she also presented in 2009.
