Juliet - I Promise You Eternal Doubt (try-out)

Juliet is thirty and taking stock. Mentally and financially exhausted by the endless stream of bachelorette parties, baby showers and weddings she drags herself to each week, she wonders whether she and her boyfriend are ready for the suburban dream of "house, tree, pet".

She secretly keeps track of who takes what when couples split up, and he googles moving van rates after an argument. Is it because of their divorced parents? The eternal doubt? Can you truly merge with someone in an individualistic society - and how long can Juliet keep thinking about this before her eggs run out?

In this theatre debut, she takes the stage armed with piano and guitarist Pascal Voorbraak. She shares hilarious anecdotes, breaks your heart with vulnerable songs and throws in a hard-hitting banger too. Juliet made waves on social media with her brilliantly sharp 30-second songs, racking up millions of views.

De Volkskrant wrote about her work: "Juliet sings, with flair, witty 30-second songs, for example - in the category breathtakingly relatable - about the 'badly-fitting thong' that everyone has and that you somehow just can't throw away."
