In the hands of Daniel Herskedal, the tuba becomes a melancholic, lyrical instrument. The Norwegian has previously combined jazz, chamber music and Norwegian folk at Paradox concerts in his own distinctive way. This time he performs with his new trio: pianist Eyolf Dale and percussionist Helge Andreas Norbakken.

With albums like Slow Eastbound Train, The Roc and Voyage, Herskedal has built a cinematic soundworld where space and simplicity matter more than effect. At Paradox he will play works from his latest album Harbour, among others.

France Musique called his ensemble one of the most unique and innovative small groups in Europe.
