Dead Moon Night: Toody Cole and her Band (USA) + Jenny Don't & the Spurs (USA)

On August 31, Toody Cole & Band takes the stage at Vera. Toody is the sole surviving member of Dead Moon, the band that embodied authentic DIY underground rock-'n-roll. She is accompanied by members of Jenny Don't and the Spurs, who also perform that evening in this double bill.

Drummer Kelly Halliburton previously played alongside Toody (bass, vocals) and her husband Fred Cole (vocals, guitar) in Pierced Arrows, the band the Coles formed after Dead Moon. Kelly, also bassist in Jenny Don't and the Spurs, participated in several Dead Moon reunion shows in 2015 when original drummer Andrew Loomis became too ill to perform. Together with Jenny Don't guitarist Christopher March, he forms the band that brings the Dead Moon repertoire back to life.
