Céline is looking forward to the arrival of her first child, but it is her wife Nadia who will give birth in three months. To be legally recognized as a mother, Céline must adopt her own daughter - and for that she needs to gather fifteen statements proving she will be a good mother. Surrounded by friends, family and the bureaucracy of the law, she searches for her place as a parent.

Des preuves d'amour is based on the personal experiences of director Alice Douard and follows the non-pregnant partner in the final months of pregnancy. The film is moving, but also light and humorous in its portrait of queer parenthood.

The film had its world premiere in the Semaine de la Critique at the Cannes Film Festival and was subsequently shown at Film by the Sea and the Roze Filmdagen, where it won the Audience Award.
