This screening is part of the Bioscoop 10-Daagse: come as a couple, buy a 1+1 ticket and get the second ticket free.

A Milanese businessman with a vast real estate empire wants to build a luxury resort on the beach of a quiet Sardinian village. The unemployed locals are thrilled, but one man stands in the way: Efisio, an elderly shepherd whose family has grazed their cattle on those same beaches for generations. He refuses to sell his house and land.

Negotiations drag on. Angry villagers, year after year of higher sums of money - Efisio remains unmoved. As pressure on him and his daughter Francesca intensifies and the developers resort to increasingly cunning tactics, Francesca slowly begins to understand her father's stubbornness.
