Pieternel

After a theatre tour, singer-songwriter Pieternel returns with One Mic Only, Chapter 2. The concept remains the same as before: one vintage microphone, three guitars and three voices - but the repertoire is entirely new. Together with Younes Kadri and Kobus Groen, she stands around that single microphone and performs songs rooted in country and Americana, with Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris as reference points.

Pieternel recorded her debut album in Nashville, Tennessee. Her second album Underneath This Skin followed, in which she shared her dreams and vulnerabilities with unprecedented honesty. She has performed at Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, toured the country with the show All Night Cafe, appeared with Judy Blank and the Blue Grass Boogiemen, and opened for artists including Brandy Clark, Levi Hummon, Tim Akkerman and Angeleena Presley. Her song Standing on the Edge has been streamed over 800,000 times.
