Oleg & Simone

Oleg plays the bayan (button accordion), while Simone performs on her Percuteria (drums and percussion). Together they present compositions that blend Brazilian rhythms with Eastern European melodies and a touch of Balkan music, complemented by vocals and spoken word.

The two met in 2008 at Festival Mundial in Tilburg. Since 2010 they have performed as a duo in the Netherlands and Brazil, recorded with Brazilian composer Chico Cesar and guitarist Badi Assad, and toured throughout Europe and Brazil.
