Jodymoon

The Maastricht duo Jodymoon - vocalist-pianist Digna Janssen and multi-instrumentalist Johan Smeets - perform at Theater De Liefde with their album The Machine (2025). On this record they explore new territory: a drum computer forms the rhythmic foundation, complemented by electric guitar and bass. "We wanted to create a modern take on the singer-songwriter sound, but keep the heart of our songs - and I think we succeeded," says Digna.

Jodymoon has existed since 2006 and built a reputation with folk, pop and roots - a mix that earned them the audience prize of the Grote Prijs van Nederland and took them touring through Canada, Spain, England, Germany and Italy. The Machine and its title track earned the duo two nominations for the Limburgse Popprijs 2025: Best album and Best song.
