Ultramarine Blue places neoclassical piano at its heart: accessible, evocative music where classical piano sounds blend with contemporary compositions and film music. Italian concert pianist and composer Valentina Lombardo performs a programme inspired by the sea, alternating her own works with pieces by Ennio Morricone, Michael Nyman, Ezio Bosso, Ludovico Einaudi and Roberto Cacciapaglia.

Lombardo studied at the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Turin and continued her training at the École Normale de Musique de Paris. Alongside her international concert practice, she also composes; in 2023 Point Nemo appeared, her first album featuring exclusively her own compositions.

After her performance, Dutch GIPC talents take the stage with neoclassical works - their names will be announced later. GIPC organizes a neoclassical concert once a year, deliberately bringing together young pianists and professional musicians and making piano music accessible to a broad audience.
