VERA's Grunneger Zundag: StAD // Steernvanger // Olaf Vos

Sunday afternoon at VERA celebrates the Groningen dialect with three bands performing entirely in Grunnegs.

StAD creates distinctive indie pop in Groningen's native tongue. The eight-piece band moves between melodic, restrained passages and ragged guitars with powerful bursts. Steernvanger brings feelgood folk with occasional country touches: personal lyrics, strong group vocals, and songs that shift between joyful and moving. Olaf Vos closes with Groningen hip-hop stripped of pretense - old-school beats, sharp bars, raw and straightforward, rooted in local soil.
