Exhibition 'Mixed Media on Paper' by Caroline Serton — Oosterland – Oosterlanderkerk, Den Oever

Artist Caroline Serton, who lives on Texel, explores the relationship between humans and nature in her work. This fascination began early: as a city girl, she collected leaves, twigs and berries and drew her own herbarium. That collecting, ordering and observing remains at the heart of her practice.

Serton works exclusively on paper, often in mixed media. She combines chalk, gouache and watercolour with other materials and sometimes incorporates fragments from earlier work. This creates layered, organic images where research and wonder come together.

The opening of the exhibition takes place on Saturday, 19 September at 15:00; visitors welcome from 15:30. The work will then be on view until 25 October, every Saturday and Sunday from 13:30 to 16:30.

Parking is available along the nearby Keizerspoeldijk.
