Min Taka
Min Taka is a Turkish artist who translates her inner world into a sound that moves between indie, synth and hyperpop. She cites artists like Sassy 009, Kero Kero Bonito and Charli XCX as sources of inspiration.
The project emerged during the pandemic and is named after a vanished planet. According to the myth, the inhabitants of that planet were meant to reincarnate on Earth, but remained forever longing for a place that felt like home - a feeling Min Taka knows well. She moves between the Netherlands and Turkey, finding her home in music.
Min Taka's career began after a drunken remark by her housemate to a promoter in Rotterdam. Since then, she has released multiple singles and EPs and performed at Motel Mozaique, Le Guess Who?, Popronde, the Istanbul Jazz Festival and ESNS 2025, where she placed fourth on 3voor12's best-of list. Her first English-language EP 'I Think We Should Just Move In Together' reached one million streams within a week and appeared on more than 80 charts worldwide. She sings in both Turkish and English.
