Open day at Wieringermeer waste processing facility

On 26 September 2026, HVC and Afvalzorg open the doors of the Wieringermeer waste processing facility to the local community as part of National Neighbours Day.

Visitors will take a guided tour by electric train across the site and see how waste is composted, recycled and disposed of. The day is accessible for children from 8 years old and adults.
