Rengers' Betrayal After the Relief of Groningen in 1672 in Meeden

A narrative about the arrest of Ommelander nobleman Osebrandt Rengers (1621-1679) by city magistrates, shortly after the Relief of Groningen in 1672. The rivalry between the City and the Ommelanden takes centre stage.

The performance is presented by five storytellers and a cantor from Schola Gregoriaans Groningen, all in seventeenth-century costume.
