Stuurbaard Bakkebaard resists easy categorization - experimental rock, neo-psych, or simply a genre unto itself.

Since 1996, this trio has released five albums and played hundreds of shows across the Netherlands, Europe, and South Africa. After Boys Do Cry came a period of quiet on the surface, but behind the scenes they remained active: music for film and television, and slowly the outlines of something new took shape. That new work grew into their sixth album.
